Help with Blizzard SCSI kit Mk IV and Zulu SCSI RP 5040
Hi everybody,
I've been struggling all night with the Zulu SCSI RP 5040. I created an RDB hdf file with FS-UAE and placed it on the Zulu's SD card Settings are default Zulu reports finding the diskimage by flashing LED once. It is also reported on the ZuluLog file. I then boot on HDSetup 3.2 and launch HDToolBox set on 1230scsi.device (version 8.1, using softSCSI) During the device check, HDToolBox stops for a while on unit 0, which is the diskimage. The drive is then seen at address 0 LUN 0 and the status is unknown When I click on "change drive type", "Define new" and "Read configuration", I get an "insufficient data returned by inquiry" message. could somebody help me thru the configuration process? I've watched videos and read reviews and all, but it seems ultra simple for everybody???` Many thanks! |

There was another zuluscsi log here: https://eab.abime.net/showpost.php?p...6&postcount=18 which also included processes SCSI commands. They are not listed in your log. Perhaps some logging command is missing?

I took time to test everything out and it turns out that it was not the 1230scsi.device version or any kind of software related issue: I just needed to clean the scsi-kit connector and it worked!
It's probably good advice for anybody with a new accelerator: It's always good to clean their connectors with Isopropanol (including any expansion connector they might have like for the SCSI-kit), as it can really remove some instability issues! Thanks, everybody for your input I learned some things those past weeks ![]() (Other threads are on the way!) Last edited by xavlahaye; 14 August 2023 at 10:36. |
