no saves in sim city?

there doesent seem to be a way to save in whdload with sim city.

yep,i think the slave is broken.

but..save works if you dont use the whdload install and run it from the data folder.

As far as I can tell, it's because the WHD slave uses an emulated Kickstart 1.3 environment (which seems an odd choice, given the game runs fine on later versions of Kickstart.) The savegame feature attempts to write files to the emulated environment, which I guess is read-only.

EDIT: it saves on a 1.3 amiga 500

Not weird at all. Sim city was originally designed to run from 1.3, and it reduces memory requirements as well. There is no benefit using anything higher than kick start 1.3

Well, the save works in the CDTV version, if you select "Disk" in the menu. But these preinstalled Disk versions not. There is a ingame requester, unable to write/load.

SimCity_v1.0_512k_0888.zip = doesn't work
SimCity12_v1.0_2193.zip = doesn't work

SimCity_v1.0_CDTV.zip = works with Disk save

FIX - Just set Configuration to Floppy drive and 64KB SRAM card expanded CDTV in Quickstart.

Edit: oh and enable CDTV SRAM Expansion in Adv. Chipset.

im not using the cdtv version or emulation.

im using the floppy install for whdload on real hardware.
