Has anyone ever had any dealings with Retro Pixels on eBay? He's based in Cleveland and has a LOT of sealed games for big bucks! Where did he get them all from. Do you think they are shrink wrapped with a hair dryer or genuinely sealed?

https://www.ebay.co.uk/str/retropixe...75.m3561.l2563

As an example we have Pool of Radiance still sealed selling for £300

Retro pixels, well they bought all my amiga mags years ago and had me post them, even though it was collection only, then complained because some issue was missing that was in one of the pictures even though I never mentioned it in the listing.. She appears to be the new penfold.

Having started, owned and run an Amiga development company back in the day for real (TTR), in MY opinion, that is aftermarket shrink wrapped.

There are tell tale signs on the back, the ripples. Additionally most companies included an outer sticker on the shrink wrap to ensure people knew it was legit. I do not see one in those images. Shrink wrap machines, work in a very specific way, which means no wrinkles and very specific seams.

The second huge clue.. Look at the damage to the lower left corner UNDER the shrink wrap. That would not be possible to scrape off original art/color without ripping the shrink wrap completely.

So, from MY opinion and literal experience, that is not a factory sealed box.

Here is another one: https://www.ebay.com/itm/385232160010 -- $25 USD + $15 USD shipping ~ $40 for this "service."

He sells the freely downloadable (archive.org) Amithlon CD and at the bottom just shrugs this off with:

"I do not sell software. I provide a service that takes software that is classified as “abandonware” or freeware[,] that is easily and readily available for download from the Internet[,] and I write it to a disk- usb-sd or microsd card for you. In some cases, [i] prepare or compile them as [a] bundle."

Yes, that's true if the wear is under the (intact) sealing.
But if the sealing is worn in the edges, too, then it could be normal wear of the sealed package... not fake, I mean.

Surprised Hyperion haven’t demanded that this be pulled off EBay…..
It's OK he only puts software on that's "Abandonware"

From his website:

"For Some of Licenced items, we have only couples,
and we are selling our own copies."
