WinUAE and problems with multiple monitor setup
Hi Toni,
I use my Laptop always with lid closed and two monitors attached to it, with the option to span the Windows desktop over both. If I start WinUAE, select a configuration and run the emulation I can trigger a WinUAE lockup if I move the emulation window from the left screen (monitor) to the right one (the emulation just stops). If I kill and restart WinUAE, I can select a config, but if I start the emulation the windows will be moved to the old position (where I killed it before) and then the entire system hangs. After a while the nvidia display driver kills itself and I have a 16 colour 640x something desktop and I can shutdown Windows normaly. The only solution I found is to switch to one monitor setup, move the emulation window so that it is completely visible. Then I can use two monitors again. Is this problem already known? System is Windows XP SP3 running on an Intel i5 with DirectX9 an nVidia NVS3100M |

Try latest winuae beta, it has Windows XP D3D ALT-TAB blackscreen fix that may be related.
Note that driver crashing is always driver bug, application should never be able to crash drivers. |

Hi Toni,
Updated the video driver and with Beta17 all issues are gone. Thanks! |
