LS-120 Questions in 2022
I am using an LS-120 drive (IDE) with my Amiga 4000D running OS 3.2.1. LS-120 drive/disks work great with OS 3.2 "SuperFloppy" mountlist and A4000 IDE interface (No other software needed!). I was wondering if anyone had insight into the following:
Thanks for any thoughts or ideas. |

Hey great! That is just what I was hoping for! Thanks Nobby!
(Ashamed to ask) Would you please tell me how to make it work in OS 3.2? Do I need to use Def_Icon? Does it matter what the name of the icon is vs what the name of the device is? Thanks again! |

Well, I tried just about everything I could and failed. Only way I could get close to the result I wanted was by putting the disk.info on each and every LS-120 diskette.
![]() If anyone knows how to make a default icon for this device in OS 3.2, please let me know. |

What is the name of your LS-120 device, i.e., what you have in the DOSDrivers drawer? The icon name should follow that pattern. If the device is called LS0, the icon should be called def_LS0.info. Put it in ENVARC:sys.
Slight hiccup: I believe OS4 uses the format def_LS0disk.info - I'm not sure if that behavior was backported to 3.2. Bottom line, one of def_LS0.info or def_LS0disk.info will work. Although I'm uncertain which. ![]() |

I got it to work using def_XXX.info, where XXX is the device.
Thanks for that bit of information Matt! |
