a converter mpeg -> amiga anim

Hi there again.

I´m doing a little FMV-game in AMOS Pro. with some kids in primary school.

I need to convert mpeg or avi movies to anim and already tried some tools from Aminet.

Some apps are demos but I finally found mp2anim.
It´s great but saves HAM, HAM-8 or 256 colour anims only.

I´d like to use HAM and the anims are fine in DPaint.
But I get gfx errors when playing them in AMOS Pro.

Do you know a nice conversion proggi that allows to save 32 col. or EHB anims?

Or is it possible to fix playback in AMOS Pro. with an open screen command or something else?

There is no AGA support in AMOS (any version) and the AMOS Anim player doesnt support even HAM-6.

Blitz has libraries that will do Anim5 with HAM-8

The document for mp2anim talks about generating EHB anims.

so I´ll use 32 col. or EHB.

I still want to use Amos because I finally managed to create a small game engine.

I wouldn´t call myself a programmer so I don´t want to start with another language. (although it´s basic at all)

there was full version released on some aminet CD IIRC

Sorry, but I have two questions:

1. I can´t see the 32 col. dithering options in MainActor, Chain was talking about. I can only decide between different anim formats. Any hints?

2. I found out about another great anim converter: Mpeg2anim

It´s not free and so I´m limited to a very small output screen size

Yep, I visited this site today but Amos Pro. can´t handle cdxl, I´m afraid.

Here it is, it looks at converting DVD to CDXL. I am sure it can also be tweaked to do avi/mpeg conversions....

This really miss, there is some here or there but they are not really good.
The best could be a windows soft which could make an amiga anim with sound support.
Any amiga format cdxl,iff anim with ham support etc...
Don't blame me because i ask and because i don't do it myself but sorry i'm not coder.
But i'm pretty sure that this is one thing that amiga community is waiting for a long time.
It could be on amiga to, agood video converter for the amiga is something which miss really.

ps: if you have only bad and stupid things to say, it's not necessary to post but do what you want.
