I am a seller, developer and Amiga enthusiast...

Hi all,

I'm new to EAB, but I am a member of other Amiga related sites such as AmiBay, Amiga.org, Classicamiga.com and a few others. I will try and use the user ID "amigamaniac" on all sites, to avoid confusion. I chose this ID as I own the domain name amigamaniac.com, and plan on setting up my own website in the near future

You can find me on AmiBay in the AmiTrader section. My user ID there is "ultrareliable". I develop my own Amiga specific hardware, as well as sell Amiga related and specific hardware developed and/or manufactured by others.

For example, I have designed a simple old-school Kick Start ROM switcher, with another design on the way (details on AmiBay). This is a complete assembled unit (I had the PCB's professionally manufactured).

I also have several ATX to Amiga adapter cables etc on offer for various models of Amiga (again, details on AmiBay), all at very reasonable prices.

I can also be found on Amiga.org. My user ID there is "1985BMWK75".

I look forward to getting to know a few more people in the Amiga community, as well as hooking people up with hardware that they want/need

Welcome amigamaniac, good to have an Australian capable of knocking up some pcbs. I don't need any of the stuff you have on offer atm but I'll keep an eye out on any of your future projects.

I would love one of those CF card interfaces for the front slot of the A1000, but with a sidecar expansion connector for A500 instead. Or a similar solution. Or a Fast SCSI-II CF card interface board like the ones for IDE, but with a 50-pin internal scsi connector.

Pleeease? *makes Bambi eyes*

CF card adapters etc...

@photon & all who have posted a reply

I would love to get my hands on some SCSI II to CF adapters, but couldn't find any I can however obtain SD to IDE adpaters. They aren't as cheap as the CF to IDE, but SD cards are cheap and plentiful. I can't remember if they are for 40 or 44 PIN IDE, or both. I'll have to have another look at the specs. Maybe I can suggest to the manufacturer that they make one for SCSI?

Thanks for the comment tonnyeb/Chris. I'm glad you like my cables

Zetr0, hello my friend Yes, I am home, aren't I *lol* I would love to visit the UK one day and have a few pints with you Amiga fetishists :P

Ksrs V2.0...

Hi all,

My Kick Start ROM switcher will be a reality pretty soon :-) After all the weeks of trying different things, building prototypes, and then designing the PCB, obtaining all the components etc...I can rest a little now :-) I have sent the files off to the PCB manufacturer, and now I just need to wait a couple of weeks to receive them. Weeee! KSRS V2.0 allows you to toggle between any two ROMS in a 16-Bit Amiga, simply by resetting the Amiga (holding the CTRL+A+A keys for a specified time) If you just press CTRL+A+A for less than this specified time, the Amiga just resets, without changing ROMS :-) And there are no mini-clips to attach to any pins on the MB either! There are more details on AmiBay, in the AmiTrader section (ultrareliable).

KSRS for 16-Bit Amiga's

Yes, my two models are only for the OCS and ECS Amiga's (16-Bit).

You can read a response to a similar question from Amiga.org here http://www.amiga.org/modules/newbb/v...46911&forum=21
