RED41 the silent death

What a beautiful welcome, I am honored.
I thank you all

These are the cover of "The Games Machine" magazine of September 1993, the other is the preview of the game

Below instead I am attaching the files of the two Red41 floppy disks.
Unfortunately, the working version with collectible coins and opponents that can be faced has been lost.

FLOPPY1

FLOPPY2

Do not expect high expectations, it is almost what today we would call Alpha version.

UPDATE 14-11-2022

Added thanks to EAB WHDLoad's HD installler

https://hobbyeu.it/wp-content/fileADF/Red41demo.lha

But since that day, everything has changed for me

Thank you very much for coming to share your experience with the Amiga. That's the beauty of this machine, after so many years, the flame continues to be kept alive by eternal discovery.

Hi Daniele, What do you mean by 'lost' ?

Lost like lost, lost like 'disks in bad shape or not working' ?

Got some time to play it, and I must admit this game could be very interesting. Nice music and graphics looks good too, especially for main hero. I like effects used in those three stages, first one looks like Shadow of the Best, but second one looks like fighting game with that pseudo 3d floor, third one is just like Stardust bonus stage.

I wonder do You have more stuff related to Your old work? I would love to see more demos, graphics or even concept arts. Do You remember when did You start work on that game? What tools did You use? Why those 4 games were unreleased?

Hi, I'll answer you starting from the end, I think the main reason (even if it's my point of view) why the game was not released is that we were young and "not very brave", we were given some contracts but we never signed anything , keep in mind that I was 13 at the time, that game was developed in my parents' garage / basement.

The machines used were an Amiga 2000 for music (Marco Bertola), Amiga 1200 for code (Alfredo Ornaghi), Amiga 1200 or 4000 for graphics (Andrea Rotondo) and some amiga 500 here and there for level editing.
For the graphics we used the Deluxe paint software.

I don't remember exactly how long we had worked on it, but not that long (I think a couple of months or maybe something more).

The latest version had the Boss and the opponents tackle, collectible coins and the first level complete.

The nice thing is that the same guys on the Team are currently still my friends with whom we have dinners, the Amiga has tied us up.
Friendships born in the time of Commodore Amiga are even more lasting.

ps: if I have news about the graphics or anything else I will let you know.

the fighting game named KILLER was created in the wake of Mortal Kombat, but believe me ... I still don't feel like sharing the version I own .
Let's say that in that version there is the programmer (Alfredo) fighting against himself.
But there were actually other characters, among them the (digitized) team members and some real martial arts school attletes.
Here was used the "VideoToaster" combined with PersonalPaint AGA using a bed sheet to remove the background and better crop the characters frame by frame (what an effort ..)

The other two titles, on the other hand, remained pre alpha

That's right, some things got demagnetized, some floppy disks literally got lost.
What little I have been able to show you is also thanks to Mirco Crepaldi, if it wasn't for him we would have lost a lot of material.

We have been carrying the amiga in our hearts for years, unfortunately after all the vicissitudes that have never led to anything we decided on our own initiative together with other guys to develop our own machine, but it is at the amateur level, we use specific ARM hardware and some components of a famous Asian industry.
If you like it, as soon as the computer is ready we will publish it to you. Keep in mind that there will still be at least a couple of months of work.
(between main job, biberon kids and wife ... it's not easy ).
however we are passionate about it and we will wrap it up

Can I ask you a favor?
It has nothing to do with the Amiga, but if you have any wife / girlfriend who would like to learn to sew, link to my wife's website which is where she keeps teasing me to remind me.

the Blog is: www.hobbyeu.it

It is in Italian, soon also in English (my wife will make me a saint)

some of his creations can be found on:

https://www.instagram.com/bibi_idee/

Sorry but my marriage at risk

ps: don't ban me please

^ Ahhhh là là. Marriage and fun that comes with it ...
For anything not related to the Amiga, you can use the "off topic" section of the site : https://eab.abime.net/forumdisplay.php?f=23 (requires login to be seen).

Thanks, I'll try to post them there.
I want to help my wife, she is very good and I care about her (and me too ...)

You know I don't know what it is, but I inquire.
I can tell you that this thing that has been so successful is leading in the first place to try to retrieve the latest version.
And maybe there will be news about it (but I can't be sure of this).
We'll see.

I don't know if it's important.
But the music of the introduction was written by Marco Bertola, instead the music in game my brother Augusto Pomposelli

Well folks,
I don't know how to tell you but history calls you

RED41 Reborn

We don't know how it will end but we decided a few days ago to try to finish the work on RED41, since each of us, like you, has his own family or his own job (if not both) time is short for everyone.. but
WE NEED YOU!!

We are good, we are many but we need:

-At least 2 graphics
-A level design
-a musician
- a coder

We are currently:

-Mirco (Coder and level design)
-Alfredo (coder on standby)
-Andrea (graphic)
-Fabio (graphic)
-Daniele (half manager and level design)
-Augusto (musician)

I can't guarantee success, but I can guarantee you it will be fun.
No longer having the graphics of the time we have to redraw everything, so we are writing a story for the "Reborn" chapter

Gentlemen.. the Amiga community is our home and we will never, ever give up.
WHO WANTS TO JOIN THE CRUSADE?

We currently need:

-2 graphs
-1 level design
-1 musician
-1 coders

We wait you
