What's on your Amiga games Bucket List ?
After viewing another thread Amiga games that were better on the PC
I was wondering if anyone has a "Bucket List" of games that they want to go back and finish (on the Amiga), since they never did back in the day ? I have a few, that I'll list here - 1. EOTB 2 (and I'll probably also start on EOTB 1 after I finish No 2). Reason is I actually bought the boxed version of EOTB 2, BITD and never completed it, as it was too hard at the time (esp without a players guide, & auto-map feature). I got totally stuck in the catacombs with the Margoyles where you cannot rest your party. 2. Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis. Me and my brother got about half way through the game and then got stuck (in the desert). Even using a hints / playing guide from one of the Amiga magazines, we never got around to finishing the game. 3. Silly Putty 4. Lemmings 1 * However I "think" that I may have completed this BITD but I'd like another go at it. 5. Dune 1 6. Dune 2 I never managed to complete the end level. I wish that they had a multi-unit select / squad select on this game, like theydo in modern RTS's, as it makes life soooooo much easier. 7. Supremacy 8. AB 3D-2 TKG Again I bought the boxed original, and "played" it on my bog standard A1200. It ran like a slideshow, but I still played it till about level 3 / 4. (However I did complete it's predecessor AB 3D-1 on my CD-32) and I LOVED that game, so atmospheric ! There's probably another dozen or more that I can't remember this second, that would probably go on this list too. I do actually keep a "Bucket List" of Amiga games that I do want to go back and complete. I'll eventually get around to the major ones So do you have anything similar that you're working towards ? Obitus. I'm about halfway currently, which is 40% further than I was back in the day But it is such a slog to go through all the samey looking mazes that I generally just stop playing it for about a year before I get the bug again and make some more progress.
Crystal Dragon. Only had the coverdisk demo and liked it but I lost the Miggy before I got the chance to play the full version. Time to finally get it done. Champion of the Raj. I... just don't know how you actually play that game :/ Does anybody I wonder? There are no proper gameplay videos on Youtube, just a couple minute videos of people clicking around and probably being just as confused as I am. Tom and the Ghost. Awfully executed game but it was among the first batch of games that I got so it holds a special place in my heart that I return to from time to time. Also nice graphics, sound and music. But I just don't know what to do in it to progress :/ |

Lotus 2 is one classic that I got really close to completing but never did. Reached about the sixth segment of the final level, the one with three different Turbo pickups, but never quite got any further.
I would love to be able to say I've beaten Lemmings, or Rainbow Islands, or Civilization on the highest skill level, but they'd all need me to put in a lot of time. As for games I've never played to any great depth, but would love to get through, I'm thinking Populous or maybe Wings. |

i have a couple that i would like to complete at some point
the most distant played is Prison, i think i reached almost the 90% bitd (maybe more) but i was on real hardware so no later savestates to help me then Final Odyssey, lovely complex but sadly not bug free (expecially in the savings); i think i have reached almost the end of stage 2 (levels are quite long) i also have a Speris Legacy savestate i think in the middle of the game, i just forgot what exactly i needed to do at that point, due the wide stages Last edited by kremiso; 01 April 2024 at 20:26. |

These have been on my bucket list for what seems like a whole eternity, but as I will have plenty of upcoming free time later this year, I will hopefully finally be returning to them soon.
Obitus: I owned this game back in the day and got pretty far but never actually completed it, I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one that has it on their bucket list. Captain planet: This game came bundled with my first Amiga. The floppy disk unfortunately became bad so I never actually finished it. I still don't even know what the last couple of levels look like as I deliberately avoided watching the YouTube walkthroughs. Diggers: This is a game which came bundled with my CD32 and so like Captain planet it also has sentimental attachment. I love the soundtrack on this game. Simon the Sorcerer 2. I completed the original Simon the Sorcerer on my CD32 which is one of my all time favourite games. I was so hyped for the sequel but remember being disgusted when I learned the Amiga version was basically unfinished, as it completely lacks any soundtrack at all. Now decades later I have it set up to my now Vampired CD32 and ready to go, running through ScummVM and connected up to a Roland SC-88 for Midi. Nightlong: I played the PPC version of this in the mid naughties on my old A4000 CSPPC/CVPPC setup and was hooked, but for some reason it always crashed at a certain point halfway through the game. I don't think it works on Vampire since one of the later core updates, so I'm still looking for someway to play this on Amiga. |

I never finished Technocop. It still bugs me, given that I loved the game so much back in the day. Same can be said about Jumping Jackson.
I never got to see all the ships in Paradroid 90. For a long time I didn't even know how to get off the first ship. This also irks. Lastly, I love fighting games, but I never got to try Fightin' Spirit. |

You made me lookup Stunt Car Racer 2. I would have definitely played that had it come out.

Dungeon Master Chaos Strikes Back
Dungeon Master 2 Liberation But I'll probably not get around to any of them in the near future. Legends of Grimrock I & II (on the PC) are first on my list. Last edited by alexh; 05 April 2024 at 11:38. |

Eh. Temper your expectations It looks nice, it plays... isometric.
Ah I'm so jealous. I would love to experience those games for the first time again. I could have easily played a Grimrock 3 to 10. |
