Installing IBrowse 2.5.8 on A2000

Hi all, I'm trying to install the latest ibrowse on my A2000 running wb 3.1, with a geforce 040, buddha ide, xsurf 100 and gbapii++. When I run the installer I get an error message saying getenv: string too long. Any help is much appreciated.

Which version of installer are you using and how big is your ENV:Language file (if you have one)?

Can you try opening a shell and entering the following two commands? Note the quote characters are backticks, not single quotes.
version `which installer` full
list env:language
This will display the version number of your installer program and the size of the env:language file, if it exists.

Ok, I've confirmed the issue with C= Installer 2.17 and will fix for the next IBrowse release.

In the meantime, you can either edit the Install_IBrowse file and remove the following two lines and then retry, which should fix the problem:

Code:
(if (and (= #cpu-install 5) (<> (getenv "AppDir/IBrowse") "") )
  (set @default-dest (expandpath (pathonly (getenv "AppDir/IBrowse") ) ) ) )
Or update your installer with http://aminet.net/package/util/misc/Installer-43_3
