This morning when I realised the change I'd made to Phalanx II - The Return; in my haste to upload the file while getting ready for work; I accidently added in the old "non LED adjusted" configuration file to the archive

This has been fixed now, so please do the following again:
  • Delete the directory "C:\WinUAE\Games\Phalanx II - The Return".
  • Download / extract the attached into "C:\WinUAE".
Sorry again...

Been a bit busy lately. I see you changed your mind about the drive lights (back from page 2) Is there any reason to have the CPU and FPS lights ? Anyway, by doing this change you've unfortunately made a few more mistakes ! (I did a duplicate filename check before applying).

Current config names :-
Nuxelia [AGA] [unreleased] [demo]
Stunt Car Racer TNT

New config names :-
Nuxelia - Adventures of Paelon [AGA] [unreleased] [demo]
Stunt Car Racer TNT [modification]

Also, there is a spelling mistake :-
Space Hippies [unrelaesed] [full game]

Lastly, 'World Karate Championship [Atari ST conversion]' is the same game (American version) of 'International Karate [Atari ST conversion]'. Not sure if there are any differences in game ?

You're welcome

Personally I think it's important to see the "CPU" and "FPS" LEDs so left them in

Oh shite, not again

You are correct though; another 2 x configuration files that I adjusted in my personal copy but forgot to include in any updates...

Yes virtually the same game but different title screens, see here:

Thank you, you're keeping me on my toes... always difficult when I make small changes in my personal copy but forget to include them in any updates.

Notes now added to post #1255.

You will also need to rename the 'Nuxelia AGA' game folder AND .hdf file to 'Nuxelia - Adventures of Paelon AGA'.

Ooops, yes you are correct... always difficult to do this when at work and don't have access to my collection

Now also added to the notes in post #1255.

Wow, I somehow wasn’t aware of this, but it looks great!

I’m not sure if this is answered somewhere in the first post, but does this come with a DAT file I can put into Clrmamepro or something so I can compare my existing files against yours and see if any of the checksums match?

Heya TServo2049,

Welcome to EAB

No .DAT file I'm afraid as things are constantly being added / worked on / changing; plus some of the stuff in my collection you won't find anywhere else i.e. custom files created by me:
  • .ADFs
  • .HDFs for games that don't run from floppy
  • AmigaCD --> .HDFs
  • etc...
Anyway, you have a PM

So, Update Pack #10 is now ready... this is mainly another small fix taking into consideration the recent "LED adjustments" and contains the following:

2491 configuration updates (see post #1254).

2 game updates:
... Phalanx II - The Return
... The Incredible Adventures of Moebius Goatlizard DX

3 new game additions:

Code:
Climby Skies [unreleased] [demo]
Cougar Force
Love Dungeon
Anyway, it's uploading as I type this and PMs will be sent out afterwards

Thanx Damien! I am eager to try the new update

Sorry for bringing this up again but...
If we know which games are 640*480 and which are 720*576, I THINK we can work out a scanline configuration for each resolution and apply it in accordingly...can't we?

I can definitely tell you how to work out which games are 640x480 or 720x576

Just use Notepad++, "Search" --> "Find in Files", then for "Find what:" enter "gfx_width_fullscreen=720". This gives you a list of all 720x576 configurations...

I did play round with creating a custom "scanlines" like mask and things looked ok when used with only 720x576 games and there was no tearing as opposed to when setting "1:2".

When I'm home tonight I'll give you details to see what you think

Thanks again Damien, with so many updates and changes lately it can be tricky to keep everything updated correctly but do keep them coming.

Yeah I know; the last 2 x updates have been a bit tricky

...but, I do usually write detailed instructions, and if I miss something (which can easily happen), I do post details on how to fix.

Anyway, saying all that, I think I may update the main upload to include:

a) all base archives.
b) all 10 x update packs.

Makes sense since we are on Update Pack #10...

Thing is; it's about 9GB compressed so will take some time to re-upload.

Please do. With all the updates I'm sure I've cocked something up somewhere and it would be nice to refresh the whole thing.

I have being following your update instuctions closely all this time so hopefully no errors have crept in since but overall a new core update would be welcome though as you say it's getting quite large now at 9GB.

You never know this time next year we might be on update pack #20.

If you do this DamienD, could you distribute it without the requirement to use the setup program, and compress the files only one time?

That's because I would like the install the files by hand.

While the setup program is a self-extractable file and can be extracted with any version of 7z (yes I know it), the double compression on the data makes the installation a very slow process on my i3 1.70 GHz, mainly when we need to install only one or two files from the archive to the HD.

But thanks again for the new update, it is getting better every time!
