Is there a Wireless KB / Mouse / Joystick for the Amiga? Possible?

As topic really.

I was thinking of wiring my miggy up to a TV in the bedroom which would be great if I could control it at a distance. I don't think the KB / Mouse would be an issue but I'm guessing the Joystick would.

Any thoughts / ideas / does it exist?

yeh with PS/2 adapter for optical mouse and wirerless optical PS-/2 mouse.
like this one: > http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Commodore-Amig...QQcmdZViewItem

for wireless joy,i think you can use the CD32 - Playstation pad adapter ,with the wireless playstations Pads.. im using for now the normal PS2 wire pad.

Where do you get a CD32/PSX joypad adaptor? (Sorry if it's a bit off-topic...) They look ace.

As my No1 thought has already been mentioned:

How about a USB card (subway for instance)..?
Then you could use a wireless USB mouse...

...Ok, so its over-complicated & brings up early boot-menu issues, but that can be cured by burning the USB stack into an updated ROM...
...Ok, so you'll then need to learn how to do that, buy an EEPROM programmer, buy some increasingly-hard-to-find EEPROMS that will work in a miggy...

...Um, ok PS2 adapter it is.

Hi Anemos,

I'm looking at the picture of the playstation 1/2 > amiga 9 pin adapter. Is that working for the regular Amigas too, and also i have been trying to find one online, any ideas where to find them. I would love to set up a wireless controller and this would go a long way in trying to get it working

thanks

The schematic diagrams are on Aminet; the ready made cables can be found on Ebay. Yep, all Miggys have the same 9-pin D shell connectors.

Most of these appear to have been made from Playstation controller extension cables I reckon.

Yes its true for Deneb too. You can use any HID compliant devices with workbench but once you load an old game it wants the original mouse, keyboard or joystick.

Somewhere I've got this cheesy little infrared transmitter/receiver that you plug your joystick into, it's on BBOAH
Never tried it though, I fear it will be a bit rubbish...

To do it a more modern way, you could get a really cheap wireless keyboard, put the controller, transmitter and batteries into the base of a joystick, and wire it up so joystick movements translate to keypresses, then use a PIC on the PS/2 end of the receiver to convert the keyboard data back to joystick movements.
