Newbi Questions

Hi, I'm new to this, I have installed winUAE and bought Amigaforever6, and on some game downloads have been asked to insert the game disk (I have the original Amiga games) ??? what do you have to do to get around this please.
Examples are..Fire&Ice, wings, also pp hammer and rodland to name a couple are in D64 which I asume are C64 format, how do you run these using the Amiga emulators as again I have the games in My original Amiga collection.
Sorry, another Q...where can I get McDonalds land and Puggsy.
Thanks for your pacience

You have either to transfer your floppies from amiga to PC or just use internet to get those games. (transfer might be slow)

Here is my reply from LA to someone else this morning.

Quote:
It is long process to transfer your disks to PC if you don't have A1200 with some extra memory, HD and option to move data between PC and Amiga at faster rate. (CF PCMCIA card perhaps)

But why even to try to bring your amiga files as all of that and much more you can download online and use with WinUAE.

Just for beggining, check Ancient Toys, Planet Emu and website I can't mention here (last two - Amiga downloads section) and most likely you will find a game you're looking for.

If you're advanced WinUAE user (know how to setup or customize HDF, Workbench or preinstalled workbench) there is a whole new world with WHDLoad, which makes all those floppy games playable from hard disks. There are packs with many games available for downloads at KG's WHDLoad packs page or you can download single games from packs from WHDownload's web page.

Hope this helps.

And d64 files are indeed C64 games, so you don't run them on an Amiga emulator, unless of course you run a c64 emulator under an amiga emulator..

For those (d64) just use WinVice -the best C64 emulator.

You shouldn't have any problems to get those to work.
