Source Code for finished games/demos in Blitz?
I recall having a disk somewhere with Blitz 2.0 from Amiga Format, with Zombie Apocalypse on it too.
Was the source code ever available for this? What about other released commercial and pd games like worms, skidmarks, etc etc? I've got grahams source for downfall and i'm trying to scour the net for other completed and released game source code. lil help? |

i've got the blitz 2.0 pdf manual, and the 2.1 real paper folder handbook. i prefer the way 2.0 is written but shall read both as the examples are different and the more the better.
i wonder if the 2.1 manual has ever been pdf'ed? if not i'm tempted to scan it with letter recognition and go through the addendum to correct all the mistakes (there are LOTS) then re publish it as PDF. once i've accumulated enough working and well written source code, games, manuals etc i might make a more complete pack with everything in it and working blitz installation (with bug fixes to the installer) for people to easily copy to their hard drives or emulation environments and get on with it. Would any of this interest anyone? if so, perhaps you could lend a hand hunting stuff down? |

Source code for Mark Sibly's Insectoids 2 is on one of the coverdisks. From memory it was incredibly short variable names all over the place so I'm not sure how easy it is to follow but if you don't have it and can't find it on AMR I'll dig it out.

Download the BUM and BUI archives off Blitz2000.
I also have a lot of sources of stuff I have done, no games all apps. Alot unfinished but I have resizable gui's and all sorts. If I get time i'll convert to txt and up them |
