winuae crashes at fullscreen on vista

i am using the latest winuae under windows vista, it works using all different settings under windowed mode at maximum resolution 720x568 but as soon as i turn it to fullscreen and start the emulation windows comes up with a blue screen and crashes and reboots, does anyone know how to fix this, it is an annoying running at half screen to play games

any help would be great

Peter.

Blue screen = broken driver or broken hardware.

What display card? Do you have latest driver?

You can d/l the latest OEM drivers from Intel's website and see if they work better for WinUAE or not.

You didn't specify which flavor of Vista so here are both links:

Vista 64-Bit

Vista 32-bit

Glad to hear that, I always like to keep the device drivers updated as much as possible, many times the updates have plenty of bug fixes and also some performance tweaks

I have seen on occasion that a particular system configuration will cause some issues with the latest drivers, especially graphics drivers, so in this case I work myself backwards in versions until I find a fix or something I can live with until the next version....
