FS-UAE speed, Ubuntu 12.04

Any idea how I can emulate an A500 on my humble laptop? It's a celeron 2Ghz single core with sis 671 graphics.

Now Winuae runs absolutely fine (under XP).

Here's a config file and log... anyone got tips for making this baby fly?

There are known problems with the default settings due to problems with Compiz/Unity and OpenGL applications, especially with applications trying to sync to vblank.

See http://fengestad.no/fs-uae/performance for a solution (last section, "Performance Problems with Ubuntu / Unity"), and other performance tips.

Additionally, this options seems a little suspicious in the log:
Code:
audio_buffer_target_bytes = 0
This will probably cause significant audio stuttering, as FS-UAE will try to prevent the audio buffer from filling up. The default value (8192) is usually fine, but it can make sense to lower this a bit on some systems, but 0 does not make sense

(has nothing to do with emulation speed / performance, but I thought I should mention it )

Yeah, it was my idea to try to switch the sound off - this is generally how I run Winuae due to stuttering.

Thanks for the links
