4xIDE Buffered IDE Interface

Could I connect this https://www.vesalia.de/e_idefix.htm (i only have the 4xide adapter) to this https://amigakit.amiga.store/product...ducts_id=12692 without having problems? Has anyone tried to say that with certainty? Will it work or do i have to get the newer 4xide buffered adapter?

I suspect you'll need to get both from Amigakit - as I doubt the Gayle adapters are the same, even if they're achieving the same overall goal.

I too have the IDEFix mainboard, so I'd love to find out I just need the Gayle adapter too - but I suspect it's unlikely.

When I open the case, I find out that it is exactly the same number of pins, but I don't know if it's aligned with the newer adapter

If I understand correctly, the AmigaKit version is just the same as the the Elaborate Bytes.

Drop them a PM, I'm sure they'll be able to advise accordingly.

Please let me know if you have anything new related to the issue. I am going to place an order very soon and in order not to do a double procedure it would make it easier for me. Thank you

The new FastIDE Gayle Adapter is designed for use with the Amiga Kit 4xIDE Buffered Interface only. Plugging it into any third party products may cause damage.
