Need help finding a few games
I'm finishing to put together my romset and there are a few games that I can't find anywhere, I know some were uploaded to the zone in the past judging from past posts, but can't find them there now. All games on the list have screenshots on HOL so I have hope there are disk dumps available. I have them organized by genres as in HOL. Any help in finding these would be greatly appreciated. It's a rather large list, but I'm trying to get a complete as possible list of games, and this is pretty much what I'm missing now.

AMRVoxel never got past the "technology-demo" stage, but that's available here:
http://www.blackfiveservices.co.uk/amrvoxel.shtml I came across the source for this (and some other old projects) recently, so I'll release that at some point in case anyone finds it interesting. |

Thanks for the help guys, getting closer. Updated my list above also managed to find a few others meanwhile.
s2325 : Do you know if there's a standalone release of Don Manolo? Because I can't manage to make that disk autoboot into Don Manolo. mai : It's been a few years since I last used an anti-virus for the amiga, not even sure which one I should use. Does any of the classicWB setups have an anti-virus installed? Or maybe a good soul could help me out here About D.U.N.E., do you have it? If so could you please upload it into the zone? Would be a bit silly for me to download a pack with almost 2GB for a single game. |

No, I found these games only on compilations. They should be single file.

Talmino 2 is on 'Talmino 2 and Skat V.2.0 (1998)(Logistic Dreams).adf' in 'Commodore_Amiga/Game/Disk' on the file server. There should be a few more in that folder, will have a look and post the results when I find some more.

Thanks again, you've been a great help list is getting shorter . I actually found some of those yesterday like the Fun School Specials (they aren't called Fun School on TOSEC that's why I wasn't finding them) and also managed to find Talmino 2 on EAB Server the others I didn't have yet. Will test everything and update my list later today.
s2325 : Yeah, it's strange, but if I run it directly from startup-sequence the text on the main menu disappears. I need to have a better look at this and see if I can fix it. TCD : Thanks appreciate it, finding stuff on EAB server can be challenging I'll go through that folder myself as well. mai : Thanks for the tip, I'll try that. I'm always very cautious when it comes to virus, makes sense that installing a new bootblock will clear that virus didn't know that would be all it takes. |

TCD : I know, but it's kinda slow would be nice if there was a full text list with the whole ftp contents though would make search much faster.
Btw do you know if the SPS dump of Takado was ever released? http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=43899 mai : That DUNE disk you uploaded has crc errors so the game isn't playable :/ I suppose you don't know any other dump of it? About the virus, I tried your suggestion and even though it removed the virus the game doesn't boot, after the title screen it hangs on a black screen forever. Same thing on Mindbreaker. Found a few more games and updated the list on the first post. Last edited by brolly; 16 April 2012 at 08:14. |

Thanks jujasi, will try those tonight. The Amazed adf you upload seems to be the one with the virus though.
mai : Did you try running DUNE? I get a checksum error when trying to start the game. About Amazed, yeah probably does, but I don't really like having stuff with virus around so would prefer to get a clean copy of it. After virus removal it doesn't work though, unless the game needs a very specific config to run. plugh83 : I tested chessmate and it seemed to work with and without the extras disk on df1. But the game always crashes when I perform a castling move. Do you know if the game requires the extras disk of a specific WB version? I'm asking because I noticed that on the startup-sequence script the volume for the extras is refered as extras: while my WB3.1 extras disk is called Extras3.1:, I renamed it to Extras: but got me wondering that it might be expecting some other version. jujasi : Unfortunately amazed and mindbreaker are the same versions with virus and mind force is the pre-release version and not the final one. I'll keep on searching then, thanks.
plugh83 : Maybe it only requires it for the first time and some info is written on the actual disk? That would explain it. Thanks for Grossmeister I grabbed that one as well. Edited first post. Last edited by brolly; 17 April 2012 at 06:25. |
