Cyberstorm MK2 and rom based cards

Hi,

it seems I cant use any rom-based cards on my A3000 MK2 setup.

Common examples is the Algor Pro and the Budhha. Both contain a rom onboard, and none works with the MK2 installed.

For the Algor the solution was to completely erase the rom to let the machine boot (no just delete the modules, completely erase - usb part works fine). When the buddha is installed, the machine goes into a boot up crash cycle (same with the rom enabled on the Algor). Havent tested the Buddha, but the Algor works fine without the MK2.

Anyone know if this is fixable? I'm guessing something with the onboard MK2 firmware is messing around boot up process? (Cant even get to the early startup). Anyone using a similar setup, so we can maybe check the MK2 versions?

Thanks

same things happen on my A4000/MK2 setup.... I thought they where A4000 related, since it already has an IDE port....

My combined CatWeasel/Buddha always worked fine in my Mk3 A4000 and I used the internal IDE too.

Ok, yes, sorry... The OS is 3.9 BB2, but I dont think it matters...? The system cant even get to the early startup with these boards connected.

Plus, I've also got a Picasso IV, an X-Surf2 and Buster 11, with no ram on the mobo (128 on the MK2)

It seems the problem is MK2 specific. At one point we discussed this with Chris Hodges (author of poseidon), he also thought the MK2 is at fault.

Is this just a conflict between Picasso IV and Cyberstorm MK2 ?

When I had a PicassoII It didnt have any conflicts.

Well, the PIV+MK2 work great.

The PIV+Algor+onboard 030 worked great too.

So I'm guessing that the MK2 is at fault here, leaving a small chance for the PIV to be the bad guy...

I did not say that pIV is problematic.... when much rom stuff get in the way, mk2 screws up!

I could not get PIV+CSPPC+CVPPC+Buster11 A4000D to boot.

Would boot with only the CVPPC or the PIV, but not both.

My machine too would not even go to the early startup screen.

I had to force the PIV to Zorro II mode using the jumper to get it to boot, then I could use both PIV and CVPPC. But PIV is quite slow in this mode.

I guess it is problems with Zorro III mode, even with Buster 11.
