ECS Denise and KILLEHB

Question:
Based on ECS Denise documentation seem KILLEHB bit is implemented in BPLCON2 - what is real life status of this information? Is there any practical use case for this bit? Is there any information why it was implemented?

I can imagine only one usage case - using 6-th bitplane as genlock ZD pin output but this seem a bit exaggerated feature...

Perhaps someone can shed more light on this?

I am quite sure it is plane 6 as a genlock mask feature. ECS Denise introduced lots of new genlock features. That AFAIK no one used.

3rd edition HRM also mentions KILLEHB under Genlock Extensions -chapter. (Page 307)

So another almost useless feature... (useless as it can be achieved in other way) also seem genlock was more useful in hires and in super hires modes than low res...
Thx Toni.
