Desert Strike (PDX)
When i try to play Desert Strike with the Paradox Cracktro, the cracktro is broken with A500 "best compatibility" and with A1200 "best compatibility" the cpu usage gets up the 300% suddenly and it seems that winuae freezes. happens with last official release 2.3.2 as well.

Moved. Only beta specific issues in beta thread.
Need real A500 test first. EDIT: It writes to blitter registers (accidentally) when blitter is already active, this is "undefined behavior" because no one knows how blitter internally works. EDIT2: Some support for programs doing stupid things with blitter were added few releases ago but it also breaks some other bad code that worked accidentally earlier. The cracktro and game runs just fine with version 2.3.3. Tested floppy checksums:
Name: Desert Strike (1993)(Electronic Arts)[cr PDX](Disk 1 of 3).adf CRC-32: 1682ecdb MD4: b255fd0d571a3d11fb1835235f5f1ab7 MD5: 8e955ddb837169ed987d24199aac7f05 SHA-1: 2f779ee6edfdbc3dd149c2e58903e9d58f12ff27 WinUAE config: A500+512K SlowRAM (Kickstart 1.2, Total 1MB RAM, 512K CHip+512K Slow). Note: I also enabled "write-protection" on drive DF0: When cracktro shows blitter-color bars and the music plays, just press left mouse-button for loading the game. oh, you're right. with a500+ configs the cracktro isn't broken. but with a500 configs it still is.

Rather than forcing Toni to implement a tonne of hacks for all these programs, it would be better if someone patched these versions!

I finally did some real Amiga tests:
A500 (OCS, 0.5+0.5): exact same behavior. Only orange copper bar visible. A600: works. Behavior matches WinUAE exactly. I don't see any problems, sorry Desert Strike - Return to the Gulf (1993)(Electronic Arts)(Disk 1 of 3)[cr PDX].adf 84884f54 |

ah ok, you're right. my disk is this one:
"Desert Strike (1993)(Electronic Arts)[cr PDX][t +16 Tribe](Disk 1 of 3)" this one loads the cracktro just fine on a normal A500 as well. |
