Help please! - AmigaKit Buffered Interface speed issues

Im hoping more knowledgeable people can give me some hints.

I recently bought AmigaKits buffered IDE interface with the Fast IDE adaptor, but according to sysinfo (v4.4) I am only around 800-900ishKB/sec with an 060 equipped A1200 system when the system is set to PIO mode 4 on a CF card.

I believe I've installed the required software and the Gayle adaptor correctly and have set the options as PIO mode 4.

With Sysinfo https://sysinfo.d0.se/ you can see if scsi.device is in Fast ram.

Depending your kickstart / os version scsi.device might be in rom and not loaded to fast ram, which would cause slow down.

Still not bad idea check that scsi.device is fast ram.

I have similar system Ide-Fix with gayle adapter and I get 4,5mb/s.

I'm probably going to sound stupid, but how do I check that?

I would recommend a different scsi.device, the one of bb2 can have issues with some CF cards in my experience, I normally use 43.45 on my 1200s although not sure if that's been superseded now... I did buy one of Amigakit's IDE adapters but it didn't work with my A1200 due to Gayle being reworked.

It is in my first reply. You can easily check it with SysInfo
