Making a command run silent in the startup
I recently installed the Power XL drivers on my a500 and it runs a command called HIGHDENSITY in the user-startup. This result in a screen popping up, informing me the Power LC software is running.
I seem to recall years ago that I had this command silenced, so it supressed the screen appearing. I thought > NIL: was the ticket, but didn't work when i tried it. Guess the grey matter has lost some of it's CLI know how. Can't anyone tell me where I'm going wrong |

>NIL: only affects console output, so it won't stop GUI elements like a screen or window appearing. But many commands accept a QUIET parameter, have you tried that?

>NIL: works for CLI based output. It generally won't stop pop ups or the like.
Usually the program itself has a "don't bother me" option somewhere, it's often the option QUIET, but this is not standard. Sadly I don't have this drive myself so I can't go and check it for you. Edit: beaten to it |

Try "Run >NIL: HighDensityPatch"
Works here with v1.31 of the patch. For some reason this program doesn't respect >NIL: when run directly. |
