Yes, Damien still da best

However, I wish someone else to beat your score, so there is competition and you go back to play the game again .

Ology (the guy on the video I posted) for now is the best contender, let's see...
He said he will do a no death Crimson Ninja run, if he succeeds, we might have a new high score and a reignited competition.

Hopefully on video for you too.

Yeah, I'd like someone to get very close, even beat my score

He's good, but in the last video you sent me, he only finished it with 6 lives and took 1 hour 55 minutes...

My record score I finished it with 25 lives and in about 1 hour 40 something minutes.

I did the game almost perfectly, but think I lost 3 lives on the final, killer hard Mission 5.

He's still got a bit to go to beat me

Graphically, there is no differences, if you have an Xbox One X and the series ones it will do 4K.
(And you can have HDR on them, I got report that on the series xboxes, the HDR activation looks great on Shadow Gangs).

The Switch does 720p when handheld, and 1080p when docked.

Check this trailer bellow for links to Switch and Xbox stores:

Got reports HDR looked awesome.
There is also one thing about 4K. I don't have 4K TV, but when I played on Xbone X in a normal 1080p TV, to me it looked better than the Xbox one that doesn't have 4k.

I put the game to be 4K if it detects xbox one x and the next ones.
So it is rendered in 4K and then put back with some downsampling to 1080p (automatically by the xbox system) if the TV is 1080p, and looks better than straight 1080p for some reason.

Another thing, the scrolling in 4K seems more smooth than in 1080p (to me)...

Last question then. Does it support 120 FPS on the series x ( although that would seem over-kill on a game of this type )

Ask me what you want
No, only 60 fps.
When forcing the xbox to be 120fps, it plays at the correct speed, but less smooth.

Upcoming version of Shadow Gangs will have a new text logo, lots of fixes, and also scanlines.
I was against scanlines because the game was in HD, I decided to give them a second go (I tried first time and didn't like the result), this time I think I am now not sure which is better with scanlines or without.

DamienD will for sure like this development

Scanlines, simply awesome!!! Wil have to try it out

I remember I suggested this to you ages ago, and you tried to implement but said it looked bad.

Glad that you revisited

Oh, one thing I should say... not really a fan of bending the screen or cutting it in the shape of a monitor though.

IMHO it's best with just the scanlines / CRT filter

Don't know if it's possible but if you saved an .INI file of the filter, maybe I could turn those options off?

Hi Gimbal;

The next update (version 3.0) will have 5 hits instead of 3 in easy mode, and 3 continues instead of 2.
There is no excuse not to beat at least the first boss now

If you give it a go again, I will be happy if you could let me know if you beat it with this new 3.0 version.

Yes, the scanlines options menu, you can deactivated the bending and the round corners

Update now live on Steam and XboxOne.

@gimbal
If you play the game, try the game now on easy "Rising Ninja".
I made it 5 hits before dying, and 3 continues.

Hope you enjoy the game.

Bah. Child's play and way too easy with these options

...but as you say, hopefully this allows gimbal to actually play the game and experience all the wonderful stages / bosses
