Have you got the Ram card in? Is it set to 4MB memory?
The card won't be seen if you've got it set to 8MB. Dave G |

Inside information is a wonderful thing - I recently sold Jack98 a Ram expansion card for a 1200 that isn't PCMIA compatable with the full 8MB fitted. I wanted to make sure he was only using the 4MB Ram and settings. Dave G |

Ah, I thought you talked about PCMCIA RAM card, not A1200 internal RAM card/accelerator that isn't PCMCIA compatible.

If you have Partitioned it and put a File system to the RDB in HDToolbox, you just need to quick format each partition.

As asked earlier - what type of card is it?
Not all cards are compatable with the Miggy. Are you going to be using it to transfer stuff from PC to Miggy? If so - you may be better off formatting it on the PC as FAT file system. Dave G Last edited by davideo; 08 December 2008 at 22:05. Reason: My brain isn't as fast as my fingers |

A pointer is that I've got a Lexar 128MB from a Kodak camera that works a treat. Also a Sandisk 1GB that also works well. Newer Sandisks don't work (if it has a flower on it - it's a no no) there's also a lot of pirate cards about that won't work. Dave G |

sorry for all these beginners questions.so the steps are as follow-
1-install the cf drivers 2-connect the cf card 3-the amiga should read it then no problem with the adf transfer software? *no formatting of cf on the amiga side.so its incompatible card i assume Last edited by JACK98; 20 November 2015 at 00:04. |

The original card I got from AmigaKit could be read on the PC but not the Amiga. I had to get it exchanged for a fresh card before it would work.
Have you installed the earlier software mentioned by Coze? You also need a couple of utilities installed in your C: directory and run from your Startup-Sequence. I think these are cardreset and cardpatch - not sure of the names. It's been a while since I used my 1200. Code:
You also need fat95 in L: CF0 in DEVS:Dosdrivers and finally compactflash.device in DEVS: Last edited by davideo; 09 December 2008 at 00:56. Reason: Re: Additional information |

Okely dokely.
Good luck with your hunt. It may be worthwhile checking for the thread I mentioned earlier to see what cards others have got to work. I did a quick search but couldn't find it Dave G |
