Windows 11 compatibility

Hello,

I want to update my PC to Windows 11. Could I have problems
running WIN-UAE or is it compatible with this operating system?

Of course, I'm using the latest version of Win-UAE (4.9.1)

Thank you very much in advance

I don't believe there are any issues on Windows 11, I think Toni actually runs Win 11 himself..

well I still run win 10 here and I have some issues with winuae
for ex selecting directx 11 does not works fine here, every time I push F12 the winuae screen go to windows, I have to select direcx 9 or direct draw

but perhaps tony is developing winuae new versions on win 11 so surely will be more compatible on it, just ask tony

I always have latest Windows

You can't have GDI GUI elements on D3D11 fullscreen mode. Nothing to do with Windows version.

Use full-window unless you really need full screen.

So I understand that the beamraced option does not work on Windows 11?

Nah. WinUAE itself is very compatible in my experience and so are GPUs i.e. the hardware platform you run it on.

Microsoft have not developed Win7, i.e. Win7==Win10==Win11 and all that has been added is a "security" effort, i.e. demote computer users to be console users and limit their control over the computer they paid for. And also to force computer buyers to pay extra for new licenses and force them to their 'Store.

I.e. there's no tech added that could make WinUAE especially incompatible at all, don't hesitate.
