out of curiosity have you used https://aminet.net/ instead of the link above? any idea what the protocol used is? http or ftp?

aminet.net does not have Index files like these, "AAEDT" downloads these two files, and from these it gets the download file list, protocol used is http, but I think ftp also works.

Other thing I would like to understand is how to add an entry in the GUI instead of deleting "OS4 Depot," maybe add other file repositories as well.

I created a Video Tutorial for "JanusUAE/WinUAE" showing how to initialize (with File System FFS, SFS or PFS), partition and format a PenDrive on Amiga OS, the procedure is identical if you want to do it on SD, HD even if external USB.

In the video you can see the creation of 2 partitions HD0 and HD1, and after the reboot the formatting and copying of the operating system.

If desired, the partitions can be left empty to later install the OS on the Amiga or Emulator side.

The Tutorial continues with mounting the Pendrive on AROS One x86, done this with the JanusUAE emulator included on AROS One I booted the Operating System installed on the Pendrive, both partitions were well managed JanusUAE, which is very fast and functional.

Tried the preview AROS One x86 v1.9 on QEmu 6.2.0 for Windows, I would say it works very well, Audio, Network work well.

Tomorrow I will put AROS One x86 on my GUI created especially for QEmu, where you can perform multiple operations with one click, basically you can run the ISO to install AROS on Qemu, run AROS from HardFile, or create native Qemu Hardfiles.

Installed on AROS One the new version 0.2 of TexMIO program, a small Application that allows you to write text and save it as PDF, TexMIO can also import text files and save them as PDF.

TexMIO is developedto in Hollywood and is Multiplatform (OS3, OS4, MOS and AROS x86), according to Italian developer Bertinetto Bartolomeo Davide, TexMIO is in embryonic stage, and soon it will become a real Wordprocessor.

New feature for AROS One x86, for those who do not like the Shell Gray, I have created two variations that allow you to have a White or Black Shell, see screenshot.

To do all this just click on an icon, of course the standard Shell of the system will always be available in the original color and nothing has been changed.

All Virtual Machines are supported VMWare, VirtualBox and Qemu, VMWare recommended for simplicity.

On AROS One x86 was tested "RNOTunes" an excellent software developed by jPV that supports many Audio formats, at the moment it is not yet officially distributed.

RNOTunes includes many features, supports Playlist saving, graphic covers, extra button Skins created by me, and much more.

HERE you can follow the development of this magnificent software.

A new version of AnimWebConverter 5.00 will be included in the new AROS One x86 v1.9

AnimWebConverter is an easy program to play or convert your animations:
anim, gif, apng/png, yafa and lbm (only mode 5), to other formats even save as
avi video file (Motion jpeg compression), a lso you can change its size, speed
and extract one frame from it.

Available in the next languages:
Spanish. English. Italian. French. Polish. German.

Improvements version 5.00:
1. New language available:
- Deutsch by Lars Brämer & G. Translator.
2. Compiled with last Hollywood version 9.1.
3. Menu bugs were fixed with the new Hollywood 9.0.
4. Added to save animation in iff with mode 5 compression from Hollywood.
5. Improvement when you save gif or lbm file, you can choose the colors
palette among 8-16-32-64-128-256.
6. Improvement when you save the avi file, you can choose Frames Per
Second and Quality/Compression video, by default 25 FPS and 100%.

Installed on AROS One the new version of PortablE r6 (07.11.2022)

Portabl E is the recreation of AmigaE from scratch, while AmigaE only worked on AmigaOS3, Portabl E also works on AmigaOS4, AROS, MorphOS, as well as even Linux & Windows!

Successfully tested a source compiled in the E language on the new AROS One v1.9, see screenshot

There will be no support for the Vampire because on the Apollo forum I had some of my News about AROS One 68k deleted, and I decided to have my user deleted.
