AmigaDrive (Amiga + MegaDrive)

I never saw Mean Machines on the news dealer shelves here in New York, but I wish I did.
UK mags were much better than the shitty US mags.
Now, at least we have RetroGamer and MacLife.

Anyway, here is a cool April Fool's joke about a peripheral for the Amiga allowing MegaDrive carts (even Japane ones) to play on the Amiga!

I think it's Amiga->Megadrive, not Megadrive->Amiga. Same sound chip in both machines And what if game need keyboard or mouse input

Hehe I actually remember buying that issue, if memory serves correctly that's actually a couple of import cart adapters balanced on top of each other. If you look carefully at the lower right picture the slot in the top appears to be the shape of a SNES cartridge.

In context, the comment at the top of the linked page is pretty funny itself.

That bottom piece almost looks like an unlicensed NES cartridge shell (since it doesn't have those "ridges" that the standard licensed carts did on the top left side).
