Loud 3000 power supply (not fan related)

I got a nice Noctua fan to replace the old monster in my 3000 power supply. To my surprise, while it's much quieter now, there is a pronounced buzz, or hum coming out of it. I disconnected the new fan to test but that didn't change anything. Any idea what could the source of it be? It works perfectly fine and supplies proper voltages...

Here is a couple of pictures, including some nastiness on top of the main transformer as well as yellow glue between the three tall caps. Any idea what it could be, and how to get rid of it?

Make sure your noctua has as much pressure as the fan it replaced!

It's probably coil whine. Has the PSU been recapped?

Probably coil whine. While the power is on, try to lightly touch it with the plastic pen and see if buzzing goes away.

Not yet, but that wouldn't effect the coil whine, would it?

Coils can whine if there is ripple in the voltages (which can be caused by failing caps), at least from what I have heard.
