Constant restart cycle on boot.

A3000 board powers up to the point of asking for floppy on screen but when I insert install disk, floppy drive chugs for a while then power led flashes 4 or five times and I get a software error ( in rectangular box).A few moments later I get the screen asking to install floppy. I have tried 3 floppy drives and install disks from 2 sets of 3.1 floppies. Kickstart roms are 40.68.
I have also tried this with 3.2 kickstart roms and 3.2 floppies ( same symptoms)
Diagrom tells me everything is ok on my Amiga screen - can’t seem to get the more Detailed info to show on my Mac terminal program with null modem setup.
Power supply voltages are good.
Any suggestions would be appreciated!
