I haven't been able to reproduce your issues, so a bit hard to say what's going on there... I have tested it on my A1200/3.1/Roadshow and have a test server also with Filezilla Server, but when I leave it for longer times, it continues to work still.. and I don't need to restart anything in Roadshow.. it works for me no matter if I've used some other software or not etc.

Hi, thanks for answer. I noticed that idle time is No longer a problem. Unfortunately still i have problrms with eetablishing a connection. Sometimes it connects right away and sometimes i have to turn on/off connection. If the connection is once established it is fine and works.
If not the internet connection is freezed. No ping.
I must remove adapter and add it again..

Ps. I am using aos 3.2 (3.2.1), roadshow, v1200. Dynamic IP.

Are you sure your dynamic IP address is set up properly before you try to connect, if there'd be some delay with that or so? Can you try with static IP addresses?

I would say that this isn't a bug in RNOXfer, but somewhere else in your setup... I have pretty hefty debug options turned on on my MorphOS setup where I develop these programs, and I haven't seen any illegal memory accesses or trashing with this program ever. Of course 68k version uses some different libraries and other components, but the main program and AmiSSL should be the same and fine.

It would help if someone else would report the same issue and we could isolate a problematic component... now it's hard to say if it's about OS version, Vampire (I have B1230-IV in my test setup), or what...

BTW. which MUI version are you using? I have the original 3.8 in my A1200...

I am an RNOXfer user since more that 2 years ago. Since last June i have been using AmigaOS 3.2 and lately 3.2.1 with the latest roadshow version as my TCP/IP stack. I haven't experienced any issues with RNOXfer and I have used all 4 different versions of it.

I am using an A1200 with a vampire card on it.

Thanks

I am using Mui3.8.
I didnt tried with static IP. For example
I jave No such problems with IBrowse or
IMP. I must Try static IP.

To be honest I am using TP Link wireless wifi
Adapter that get internet from wifi and pass it thru
Eth cable to v1200. I had some problems with
Configure it.

Ok. Thanks for reply. I guess that problem is in my config. Maybe that tplink router is not well configured.
I had to Try static IP.

Thanks!

Hi Mateusz

Just to let you know of my internet configuration, i use Roadshow, my A1200 is connected through Ethernet cable via the PCMCIA socket and not the Vampire one. The Vampire Ethernet module is much slower and not stable. My Roadshow is using DHCP and not static IP.

Thanks

Is there already a solution to get it running with AmiSSL v5?

It's the hURL plugin (it provides the libCurl functionality for Hollywood) which needs to be updated to use AmiSSL v5, and that must be done by the Hollywood author not me. When I asked about it, he replied "That's definitely on the agenda.", so we just have to wait patiently.

But until then, I don't see it being that big issue to use both AmiSSL v4 and v5 on the same system. It just consumes about 2 MB more HD space to have both installed.

Hi jPV,

Thanks for RNOXfer. I use it to:
- transfer files between my A1200 and my PC
- backup my A1200

I think there's a bug with french caracters as é / è / ç / à ...
All directories (and may be files?) with theses caracters can't be tranfered (error from RNOXfer).
Is there's a way to correct this?

By the way, if you're interested in a french translation for RNOXfer, you can contact me.

Thanks for advance.

RNOXfer updated.

Version 1.4:
- Added editing fields in the server list window
- Added the comment column on the server list
- Added the default local path setting
- Added the private keyfile setting for SFTP connections
- Added a check for server list changes at exit
- Added UTF-8 support to be RFC 2640 compliant
- Massive speedup in directory handling
- More verbose file size comparison when a file exists
- Added an option to save selected files/dirs as a text file
- Fixed advanced.conf handling
- Fixed issues with the settings file format
- Adjusted window sleep modes
- Disconnects from the previous server when double-clicking a new server from the server list
- Uses hURL 2.0 (requires MorphOS 3.16 or AmiSSL 5 on AmigaOS)

Earlier versions didn't support UTF-8 in filenames, but handled non-English characters in ISO/Amiga charsets, which basically is against FTP specifications, but old Amiga FTP clients did that too and some servers didn't care. I've now made the program to work according the specs and non-English characters are allowed only in UTF-8 if a server supports it. Hopefully this fixes your issue.

The program isn't localised yet, but if I change that some day, I'll keep your offer in mind, thanks.

Edit: Yes, it was because of no network. A bit misleading error messages but all works when network was setup. Awesome FTP client!

Standard OS 3.2.2 installation. Installed AmiSSL 5 from:
http://aminet.net/package/util/libs/AmiSSL-5.13-OS3

Installed RNOXfer from:
https://aminet.net/package/comm/tcp/RNOXfer_68k

When trying to connect to the default site (aminet) for the first time, I just get "AmiSSL 5.x is required ."

Seems AmiSSL installed fine from the link above so not sure how to troubleshoot =)
Yes, I've restarted. amissl: is assigned fine to the installation directory.

Trying to connect again, I get another error.
HollywoodPlayer
You need to require hurl.hwp before you can use its functions!
File: RNOXfer.hws (current line: 2420 - In function: Easy)

Clicking OK on that one and the application closes.

This is without any networking setup (not got that far yet) so might be because of that?

When we tested this a while back, I seem to remember I had a problem with it not showing all files/folders.. not sure what we did back then to solve it but seems the problem is back.
If I got into the Pimiga folder on the TURRAN FTP, I only see folders 1.5 and 2.0. The 3.0 folder is no where to be seen.

ftp: ftp2.grandis.nu
port: 21
user: ftp
pass: any

If I manually type /Pimiga/3.0 though, it goes into it just fine..

Edit: It seems it does not show the last dir or file in the list for any given folder. In the root, I can't see lastfiles.zip which is also at the bottom of the list.

I think the misleading errors should be fixed in Hollywood/hURL (there's a recent report at Hollywood forums about it, so it might get a fix at some point), but I'll see if I can do anything for it.

We didn't do anything with it back then, because it disappeared on you before we got to debug it.

I can't see the issue on my setup (on MorphOS) now... both MorphOS native and 68k executable do show all files in the mentioned directories.

Here is a test executable to get started on debugging the issue: RNOXfer_debug. It's a 68k exe and you can copy it over the original directory and run it from there. It prints the last file that it inserts on the filelist, and it also dumps the RAM:T/rnoxfer_filelist file, so you can check that too if the missing file is at least there.

Sorry for an extremely late reply. Totally forgot about it.
I remember now that it fixed itself last time. No wonder I did not remember what we did to fix it...
The debug version verifies my claims somewhat. The debug output shows that the filelist_md5.zip file is the last file to be inserted item. That is correct with what we see in the list but it is not correct as it does not show the lastfiles.zip file.

https://ftp2.grandis.nu/images/Craplinks/RNOXfer_1.jpg

The logfile in RAM: however, does list the lastfiles.zip.

https://ftp2.grandis.nu/images/Craplinks/RNOXfer_2.jpg

It is consistent in all other folders as well.

Another example (I tried refreshing a few times)
https://ftp2.grandis.nu/images/Craplinks/RNOXfer_3.jpg

Please re-download RNOXfer_debug exe and let's check what it outputs.

If the file is already missing when parsing the filelist, please share the untouched rnoxfer_filelist file (via email or ftp, for example).

Any chance to add Synchronized browsing? (moving into same folder on local and remote side. In case to folder is missing on either side, creation of new folder is offered (or canceling synchronization mode).

I guess it would be doable... probably not that it would scroll the lists simultaneously, but entering directories and creating them should be. I'll look into it.

Here we go. lastfiles.zip missing in the file list. Array starts at 0 or 1 error? =)

Thanks for looking into it.
