Jim Power: The Lost Dimension

Has anybody else came across this? Very disappointing indeed, and to make things worse they didn't base it on the Superior Amiga version, the scrolling on here induces motion sickness... And the music Not saying this was the greatest game ever but surely it deserves better.

Add this to the list of poor conversions/ports of iconic Amiga games..

Yep, it's on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3...ost_Dimension/

Included are the DOS and the SNES versions. Plays very poorly compared to the Amiga version using WinUAE. There's a lot of badly ported 'retro' games on Steam.

I bought on Steam The Chaos Engine... it was very disappointing, a totally different feeling compared to the real game...

Meh, the game is broken by being a single-hit-death game anyway, I wouldn't have bought it even if it was a stellar improvement

Would make for a pretty cool speed-run, no damage challenge. I've played the first level so many times and as a result I can clear it quite easily, however don't think I've made it past the 3rd world. Energy bar would have really improved this game.

Level 1 was on coverdisks so I must have played it a hundred times

So many platformers would have been on my favorites lists if they had a health system. I'll have to say this for Jim Power though, it was clearly intended to be a punishing game so I don't hold it against the game that it is the way it is. It's an excellent run & gunners, just not for me
