Read this before you post!

This forum is about the Commodore Amiga, ie. the Assembler is for Motorola 680x0 and the Hardware is the OCS, ECS, or AGA chipset.

For successors of the Amiga, please post in the NextGen forum.

Here's a short checklist to help us help you:
  1. When in doubt, check your code.
  2. Coppershade, HRM, and WinUAE are correct.
  3. Providing code and expected result will give you quick answers here.

To get help for a piece of code, please use sites such as pastebin.ca if the code is longish. Make sure you've made an effort to solve it and describe the error (we love work-in-progress pics here, so don't be afraid to post screenshots)!

If the question is more generic you need no code of course. Go ahead and ask. But examples are great!

If you're asking about whether to choose Assembler or another language to learn, a good tip is to go to the Languages forum. They might give a more balanced answer - us coders in here will of course say Assembler on the Amiga - there's nothing better
