What floppy drive in Amiga 1200 ?
I bought Amiga 1200. According to seller (and a hole ) it is without floppy drive. Is some regular HD PC floppy drive OK ? Some recommended brands ?

Hi NaULTalk,
The answer to your question depends on whether you have a Commodore A1200 or one of the later Amiga Technologies A1200s. The Commodore Amiga models require a Chinon FZ-354 floppy drive, but Amiga Technologies modified the motherboard so that the machine would accept a PC-compatible floppy drive. My AT1200HD has a Panasonic JU-257A516P floppy drive in it. Just about any model will fit once the fascia is removed, provided the eject button lines up with the cut-out in the case. Also, you will probably have to cut away 6mm or so from the front of the top plate to clear the case. Does your case include the mounting bracket for the floppy drive? If not, you can buy one complete with data and supply cables from eBay, or I'll upload a drawing of the bracket so you can make one. If you have any further questions, just come back and ask!
