Sensible Soccer (SWOS) on PS2!!!!!
GREAT NEWS:
Sensible Soccer is back! Codemasters are bringing the classic game back to consoles next year, starting out on PS2. It looks like a complete remake of the Amiga version but with all new features and this time the graphics are staying more like the original SWOS! This is dream news for Sensi fans! More as soon as we know! (source: http://www.gameseek.co.uk/productdet...h1ukee742wuc8/ ) ----------------------------------------- http://www.sensiblesoccer.info Join us now... |

If this is true, EXCELLENT news. I've been looking forward to this for a long long time, but seriously... wouldn't the PSP or the Nintendo DS suit the game more?

But playing this great game with a gamepad in my opinion sucks. tried it several times when i didn´t have the competition pro for pc and just couldn´t control the ball. otherwise if they made it glew in the ps2 version i think it would spoil the great "dribbling" gameplay. i think they did that to the snes-version but can´t quite remember.

I've been playing SWOS with a Sega Megadrive 6-button gamepad since '94 or so, and I believe the PS2 controller will do it justice.

I played Cannon Fodder on the snes... it was horrible. Mouse is an absolute must IMO.

Uhm, we don't know anything about it yet. Who's to say it's not a total remake, made on a small budget. If it's good, I'll buy it. If it's the exact same game, I won't pay £30 for it.

Why pay £30 for a PS2 ver when you can get it for free for your PC and using PPJoy use a proper digital pad or For £30 get a real Amiga and the game off ebay with change to spare! |

Most important is the gameplay. If Codemasters are able to reach the same good Amiga SWOS feeling + some new features/improvements, the game will be perfect! I would buy it and a PS2 (only for SWOS) too!!
Original names or not, this is not important for me, only the gameplay, never saw a better game than SWOS. I will never get tired of this beautiful game. If they are able to improve it, only a little bit, then this game will so good, it's unbelievable! The FIFA series gamers should go back to the playground then... |

I wouldn't worry to much about the gameplay, as far as I'm aware, when Codemasters bought Sensible Software, they took on some of the original guys. Jools did Cannon Fodder conversions for them.
