You're welcome. Suprisingly the game grew on me. I hated it because of the implacable difficulty in 1992/1993 but now I'm able to reach the second walking level without cheating (okay, I lose a couple of lives but there are a lot of extra lives to collect).

More training is required, but years ago I wasn't even able to complete first level.

Jim Power has in fact NO difficulty at all. Everything is scripted, and the enemies are totally stupid and predictable.

Look, i finish it with 15 lives and tons of special weapon.

You can see my speedruns on youtube for proof

The enemies aren't that difficult once you know the pattern, agreed (some bosses are ridiculously easy). But it requires some timing for platforms/missiles. More a "Manic Miner" kind of difficulty.

Hey dear developer, thanks for your great work.
I‘m happy I kickstarted this Game. I would love
to see support for the CD32 Mpeg Modul. This would
make this Version even more special. Could you make
this come true? I could betatest it if Hardware is not
available.

CD32 mpeg module is super rare and I don't have it. There's an intro video but it's not using mpeg module.

I think that Piko strategy is to release Jim Power on all supported platforms at once, and a few platforms are still missing. IMHO this has to happen this century or people won't be interested...

yeah. Duplicators have started creating the disc, but apparently there's a problem. Probably because the people who tested that have a faulty CD32 lens or such... The intro failed, but the game worked... but Piko Interactive wants to make sure they're not going to duplicate the disks and find out they're f**ed up...

So I'm getting a copy sent by snail mail just to test it myself. My console works properly I know I fixed it myself
And Earok tested the game a few months ago (with my images) on his real console and it worked too. Probably works so, but so few CD32 working properly nowadays...

Fingers crossed (but it's probably not going to make it for xmas!)

They had duplication problems so I sent them my "original" for them to test. No news since...

I'm really sorry about this since the version was completed 1 year ago now.

Coïncidence? I think so but... got news from Piko interactive. They got the batch pressed.

Only issue is with NTSC CD32 machines. I sent a fix but the existing CDs are okay for PAL machines. I guess we're close to release now.

Great, i would love to get a copy a soon as they are released...
Coming back to the mpeg cd32 modules. Is it really useful?
If the quality of animations or videos improves dramatically im sure there would be a market for new version of those devices.. I wonder me why i havent heard of a new batch of those modules...

Best

Rod

the mpeg CD32 modules are very rare indeed so nobody supports them... And since there aren't a lot of titles and FMV is still inferior to any modern device I think it's just too late...

Ironically a modern cost effective alternative could be made to replace the FMV module, but how many CD32's would need it?

Hey, look who's finally arrived home?

Sorry for the blurry pics, took them this morning while in a hurry, will post some better ones during the week-end.
My first impressionis that both covers are honestly disappointing, I was expecting they'd be using the standard "Amiga CD32 Commodore" banner or something like that and not that anonymous yellow "CD32" label which on the front cover seems to be almost part of the title.
Also, why using the exact same picture on front and back cover? At least the colours are very pretty, though.

Any text on the side of the inlay?

Aaaah they ended up selling those...

NTSC-compatible version will be available in a few too.

I'm not responsible for the inlay so I'm not going to get offended too (there are no pics BTW)

What about the contents of the CD? (intro, in-game music, overall impression)

While CDXL intro is pretty good and CD audio tracks are surely nice to have, overall this physical release seems a bit too much on the cheap/amateurish side to me, especially compared to some other recent Amiga releases.

considering how difficult it is to burn a cd that works, a pressed cd is a must have
