CyberStorm MkI,II Or III ?

I have just purchased a lovely Cyberstorm MK I,which comprises of 4 boards (Carrier board,Processor board,Memory board & Scsi Board)

When i receive this,i am pretty sure that i am going to be very pleased with it,but i was just wondering if the MK I is inferior in any way to the MK II Or MK III version ?

Would you say that there is more Software\Hardware incompatible with the MK I or not ?

No software incompatibilities, and the MkI's memory handling is actually faster than the II's.

Also the SCSI module is a lucky find, they aren't very common.

The only thing I don't like about the MKI is the fact that it comprises of so many different modules.. It's a bit of a pain to install and handle. (remember to check all those connectors after you've transported the machine somewhere, for example).

I had an MK1 040, but I sold it when I bought an MK II 060.

I'm pretty sure you'll be pleased with it.. :-)

It´s a very good card but it looks a bit outdated and that may lead to the false conclusion that it may not be good enough ...

The only slight limitation is the SCSI, which is slower than that on the MKIII

The III has a faster memory bus over the other two, plus the scsi on board is UW SCSI-3 which is much faster than those on the MK1 & 2. The MKIII can also accept a cybervision PPC card.
