AmigaOne question...
Does the AmigaOne boot as quick as the original Amiga, or is it more like a PC? One thing I would like to see is OS4 boot up completely in about 6 seconds after powering the machine on. Would this be possible on an expanded A4000?

Only god (and the OS4 betatesters) know, for a current A1 user, the boot time is high, since they have to boot a Linux flavour, and the Linuxes take a while to load, none of the good ole "boot in 4 seconds" stuff we Amiga users are used to.

Initial boot takes around 30-40 seconds, but a warm reset takes about 7-8 seconds, but this is with a slow PIO 0 ide setup, the udma driver is being worked on...

The computer for the creative mind. I don't think anyone is as creative as he was ![]() Do you picture god trying to design his bloody earth on paper? Even less, on an IBM? OF course not, he drafted it completely in Deluxe Paint ![]() |
