Random crashes

Hi. I have random crashes with this tool:

http://aminet.net/util/moni/SpySystem3.lha

Please try to run it like this: "Spy Install"

Sometimes it install without problems, sometimes crash with #80000005 error.

I use most of the time 68060 emulation with JIT.

hi & welcome,

i only can confirm it. gave it a run on a 040 (jit) system, using workench 3.9 (AmigaSYS 4).
first run gave the 8....5 failure requester. on second run it just installed. tools were working (report command from cli for example).
not sure how to track this bug down. sorry.

68060 isn't really supported configuration (and generally useless except in some special cases)

It crashes on emulated 68020 too.

I found something like this on the forum:

NOTE2: FPU emulation emulates all 6888x instructions, even those that were removed from real 68040/060.

It still work like this in the current version of the WinUAE? That's really not cool if you want to develop programs optimized for 68040/060 CPUs and test them on the WinUAE (if it is faster or not compared to not optimized 020 version).

Thanks, that is better report

Because it is very difficult to handle missing FPU instruction exceptions 100% correctly that FPU emulation software requires.

"someday" as usual..

5 = division by zero. Most likely CPU speed timing calculation overflow/underflow (JIT is easily "too fast")

Not interested in debugging without sources.

Just disassemble it so you will have sources

I don't have sources, but it's the second program with the same problem (I compiled the latest version of ffmpeg myself and got the same problem with versions compiled for -m68020/60040 -m68882. Funny thing is that -m68060 -m68881 version works without problems).

I don't usually debug or disassemble system friendly software (except if it is something interesting, this isn't). Too annoying, sorry.
