Saving in Cannon Fodder (ADF)

Hello again

I'm trying to find out how to save my game. The game ask for "my blank disk", so I inserted an adf image that I previously formatted from WB, but it doesn't work.
What disk does the game need, and how can I make it?
I suspect it's something VERY obvious, but...

You must format this disk with Cannon Fodder, not Workbench if I remember correctly. Or press F12 and use savestate.

I'm not using an emulator but a Minimig here, no savestates but zeoro input dealy
I'll look for the option to format that disk in the game...
Thanks!

It looks like the savedisk is a custom extended ADF wich is NOT supported in Minimig. Is there a 901KB ADF savedisk anywhere?

The two save disks in TOSEC are also extended ADFs. Can you use WHDLoad on your MiniMig?

Yes, but Cannon Fodder is very slow loading from HD without FastRAM, and the last time I tried Cannon Fodder WHDLOAD, it saved but made my WB volume impossible to validate.
So it's not an option... thanks anyway for the idea

EDIT: Isn't there a hacked Cannon Fodder that saves to normal disks?

You amiga gaming fellows are a nice community
Thanks for your offer, dlfrsilver.
It seems the Minimig canĀ“t do it after all, because Cannon Fodder uses custom disk routines. It's not about the extended ADF it seems.
Thanks for your help, guys

I'm not sure. It seems to read them somehow.
But what the Minimig doesn't support is the disk write method Cannon Fodder uses.

you mean writing in an extended ADF then ? strange. This would mean that each game saving scores or anything else on an MFM disk would then crash/not working ?

Please try my extended ADF in the zone please on your minimig.

It's already formatted, just try to save your game on it

I tried it, but the came doesn't recognize the disk. It's just as I said: Minimig can't handle the custom routines used by this game to save

But thanks anyway, dlfrsilver!

I made a working .adf (not extended) some years ago.
You can download it at KillerGorillas site: http://kg.whdownload.com/kgwhd/files.php
