Barbarian 2 sprites

I am trying to rip from Barbarian 2 and need some help. So far, i have narrowed the sprites down to the correct tile size and it looks almost right, but theres a second bitplane (green) that is slightly off:

I already tried to shift the data forward and backward but no luck. How do i make the bitplanes overlap each other correctly?

Edit: Savestate added
barbarian2.zip

Which mode did you use? There are two ways to shift data - one shifts data after each bitplane and other other after each image (sprite). It looks to me like the second biplane (green) is off by 1 byte - you need to get the software to skip 1 byte after the 1st bitplane data.

Thank you for your help, i figured it out now. Indeed, i used the wrong number of bitplanes and the wrong skip mode (Skip-picture instead of Skip-bitplane). Now i only have to find the correct palette. If Gfxrip fails with that, i will edit it manually.

Glad I could help out. I'm new at this too - I'm in the middle of doing Flashback as I need the animation framework for one of my own projects.

Missing pixels

its seems that there's missing pixels in some animations but I could be wrong.

There's nothing missing. Some sprites look cut-off because the player is overlapping with a monster in some of the death animations.

If anyone finds this thread and wants to try his or her hand at ripping sprites with Maptapper, here is a screenshot using the savestate above, with the values you need to get the sprites to look right. I wasn' able to get the correct colors yet.

I always wondered how the female Barbarian II character ...

... would look like , when she was a little more busty.

Three days ago I took the sprites Maxim has posted and ...
