Mediator

Help Plz,
Im head scratching with this problem,
I have installed a mediator board with a voodoo banshee card.
I have mmcd 1.10.
I run pcinfo and it says that the card is there,
but when I run p96 its not there in the attach board???
I have also renamed the mon file to voodoo etc.
Im totally lost now, also tried different cards.
Blizzard 1260,1240 and no joy.
I have emailed elbox for more drivers but not had reply as yet.
Any help would be very usefull.

hmm this worked fine for me ... You got the latest drivers from the mediator mailing list also ? Things you can try is to switch pci slot (something you probably have..)

hope youll get it up and running, works really great here . Had a BVision before, but it kept on crashing, but this is faster and really stable

Yeah been reading loads of posts,
found a few people with same prob.
Will let u know if I get it working, still playing with settings.
very tempted to get a voodoo board to try instead of banshee.

Is this more an issue with Banshee boards or also with the Voodoo 3, 4 and 5 boards

Voodoo Banshee cards should be usable with the Mediator. I have a Voodoo3 installed, but the same principles apply to any card that is supported by the software.

I remember having a little trouble getting the (unofficial) P96 drivers supplied by Elbox to work at first, but sorted it in the end.

No need to worry about the 68k accelerator card in your machine: it will not impact on either the gfx card or its driver software.

As you state you have renamed the info file in DEVS: Monitors to Voodoo, I think the issue is with the P96Mode software. Have you tried dragging the New Item icon into the Settings window, for attachment to the gfx card?

Hi again,
Thx for all ur help on here.
yeah followed all the faqs, even tried the nodatacache
but still no luck, I think the drivers could be the prob.
Hope to get this working soon

pci.lib v5
voodoo.card 2.7 i think not sure, will have to check.

Ok,
Woke up this morn to find new drivers for mediatorfrom elbox.
Great I thought, this will solve my probs.
But had no luck with them.
So got home tonight and after reading the post
from blackcornflake I downloaded
p96 v2.1b, hey guess what........
It now works.. I cannot belive it. great
