Zorro II Card - Zorro III Slot ?
I have a Hydra Systems Amiganet ethernet network card which
is zorro II.Will this work in either my A4000 or A3000 desktop as these are both zorro III machines ? |

Zorro III on the A3000/A4000 series Amiga's is backward compatible with Zorro II so most Zorro II cards will work. Some Zorro II cards will need an upgraded Buster chip like the GVP Phonepak for example.

As long as you have a revision 11 (eleven not two) buster you will be ok

The zorro III bus default state is identical to zorro II - the Address and Data states are only activated for zorro III compliant cards. This means that zorro III is unconditionaly compatible with all zorro I (are there any?) and zorro II cards.
As Severin says, if you've got the rev 11 Buster chip you shouldn't have any probs with zorro comunication, just make sure the drivers are as upto date as poss ![]() |
