WTB: PCI/Zorro card frame
I'm in desperate need for the Zorro III/PCI card frame for the back of my Micronik A4000 tower, old PC frames would fit too I think

You might check around the local PC clubs or flea markets. A complete case, either PC, old Apple, or A2000 (7 slots) should give you enough salvage items.

![]() And been to lots of flea markets during my lifetime, I'm also a vinyl record collector so I visit them frequently but have no memory of seeing used ciomputer..only old Nintendo 8buit systems and such..here in Stockholm computer are quite valuable used and are sold on auctions etc I have an old PC at home (pentium 3) but the card cage is integrated in the chassi |

The card cage is usually either pop riveted or spot welded to the case. You need to drill it out.

on the 6 cases I have, the chasis is one with the backplate... it is just a pressed part...

Almost all AT, or older ATX cases have it like separate part....

The A2000 is unfairly maligned in certain quarters, it's the only route to an inexpensive big box, and while it lacks the performance of Zorro III, so does the seemingly far more common A1200 tower. With the right upgrades it will perform admirably. Just a shame that there aren't more DKB wildfires in circulation, with one of those and the inferno (if it was ever released, anyone seen one?) it would kick serious butt. |

I'm reffering to PC clone case, ruining Amiga or Mac for that is horrible idea
![]() AT cases are better, they have card cage in one peace. ATX cases have card cage and IO port plate holder connected, and that would take some cutting. I'd use one 20cm L profile (metal/plastic) and mounted it for starters |
