Kingdom of Death - unfinished Amiga game
was reading about this unfinished Amiga project, and the possibility that maybe it would be released in its 'as it was' early version
https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2...red-amiga-game EDIT seems an hybrid between Targhan and Cadash, graphically; as for the effective gameplay instead, yes Shadow of the Beast inspiration [ Show youtube player ] Last edited by kremiso; 23 November 2021 at 13:50. |

I can't get over that moon... it looks like it has the face of a stoner.
Some of the graphics look really nice actually. And with a couple more frames of animation I'm sure the majority of this would look a lot less janky It has the Xenon 2 problem with the music... as soon as any other sound plays the drums and such disappear. Which will be: all the time. It sounds so off-putting, I'd rather not have music then. |

two interesting cuts from the interview :
"...Then came the Commodore Amiga, which began to appear in Iraq in the late 1980s. "I had a relative in the UK who sent me one. And with the Amiga, things started to change [for me]. It's a perfect machine." Unlike with the MSX, Hussein was able to get hold of books about coding for Amiga, and magazines such as Amiga Format - often bought by individual programmers during trips overseas and passed around as photocopies. "We got to the chipset level, we knew every single wire coming from this chip to that chip, and how you can control the hardware completely." "...He still entertains hopes of completing the Kingdom of Death project, though he cautions that it would need to be reworked to suit prevailing standards of difficulty and accessibility. "I just fired the game up on an Amiga emulator on my Mac, and played in God mode, and it still took me about two hours to finish. It was freaking hard!" Quote:
darn, at least drum & bass should never disappear you let me remember how i play Xenon2, shooting as little as possible lol |
