Streaming and controlling Amiga music over web

Hi guys,

So I am always listening to Kohina at work, almost every day. I thought how cool it would be to be able to stream music from your Amiga in your home to your work. Kohina is great but updates are slow. Anyway this is how I solved it (theoretically).

1. set up Amiga to be able to go online
2. install Apache webserver with PHP
3. build a site that scans directories on Amiga and fire PHP 'exec' when I double click module file name in web browser. This site is hosted on the Amiga.
5. enable so that the site is reachable outside home office
6. Exec runs for example "dh1:music/hippoplayer/hippoplayer mod.module"

ok fine, module is running, now, to broadcast it:

1. setup a PC
2. setup broadcasting (internet radio for one listener only, me)
3. Amiga music output goes into PC soundcard and is broadcasted on the net

A couple of problems I need help with, my A1260 is in pieces ATM:

Question 1: Can you run command line Delitracker/Eagleplayer without GUI at all?
Question 2: Is there a better solution.

Another idea I had was to telnet into the Amiga and run module player from there, however if you have a site you could run it from your phone or tablet.

(I dont want to record modules to MP3 file and I want to listen to the tunes on the real hardwar.)

I have a suggestion: Use an ARexx webserver. An order of magnitude more efficient than Apache / PHP, and it lets you run Arexx scripts by clicking on links which will allow you to control pretty much any music player or whatever. I used this setup a long time ago to remotely control the lights etc. Can't remember the name of the web server now, but it was excellent for this sort of thing!
