Edit2: Well, after checking the video and from what I remember of playing the arcade version it seems to differ indeed. MG also have a separate entry for the NES version, which they usually do when there are some major changes compared to the other versions:

IIRC, the few similar cases in HOL are dealt with a conversion note in the entry stating the "conversion" has major different gameplay differences.

Anyone expert enough to give in a few words the main differences of the NES conversion that I can put there? Otherwise, I guess I will just write a generic "the NES version of the game features different gameplay elements when compared to the other versions"
