Thank you NeoHippie2016 for posting all this information

...and obviously many kudos to the source "amipeguser"; but I can't thank him as I'm not a member of A1K.ORG.

Anyway, I think I'll stick with what I included in my latest Update Pack and call it a day with this series

...well, until Black Dawn Rebirth is released anyway

There are almost all the people involved in the series under Double Sided games. They can cast a light into that. And they are members of EAB

Hhmm, Aladin created some (all?) of the games as whdl Generic, cause some of them won't load with my config. I want to start the games from Harddisk, not from floppy disc.

However, i want a CD release with ALL the parts, inclusive Parasite and Workbench Invasion! Yeah, like your idea, Predseda!

I was going through a set of disks I acquired through a purchase of an Amiga recently... "Black Dawn" and "Black Dawn 2" were among these!

Like LemonAmiga; they are just hard to find as not listed as Black Dawn / II / III / IV / V etc...
...so just missing "Black Dawn IV - Thunderdawn" and "Black Dawn VII - Champions of Dawn".

Black Dawn IX - Workbench Invasion - Berliner Spielekiste SK 1294

This title is again only in the game box and not at Nordlicht PD, furthermore the game can be found on the Assassins CD No.4.

I have now found the game for Black Dawn 9 - Workbench Invasion. Unfortunately I didn't get the folder to run. By clicking on the icon the game does not start. Therefore I describe the game briefly from the link of a Youtube video. Also the creator of the video probably had problems with starting the game, but he managed it somehow.
The graphics seem to come from the same kits of ThunderDawn and Champions Of Dawn and therefore look the same.
The only difference is that the game now only runs in the window on the Workbench. If it runs. Apart from that everything looks very spartan and other versions will surely do more.
I have the archive times here with adjusted. So everybody can test it.
Who gets it to the run, can let it be announced times, how it goes.

Here the description from the game box SK1294 found.
BlackDawn 9:
... or the Workbench Invasion is a small WB-
Continuation of the well-known action series. The
the actual "manual" consists of only a single
a sentence: Find the exit from the levels and kill
and all those nasty aliens. (That's all of it!) - From OS 2.0.

Is AMIPEGUSER @A1K.ORG saying that he doesn't know how to run this i.e?

Just do the following, note that I tested in Workbench 3.1:
  • In Workbench, extract the files from the archive "Blackdawn9.zip" to your hard drive. You will need to create an icon for the folder though.
  • Go into that folder and double-click on the "blackdawn9" icon.
  • You now see a small window with title screen, press <Enter> to start the game:

  • Now you are in-game and able to play:

  • Instructions below:

I also thought that possibly the game might require some Libs that he's missing, but after running SnoopDos and launching the game there are none required.

Hhm, has anyone the full version of Black Dawn 5 - A New Beginning? All of the uploads here are originals/full versions except Black Dawn 5.

Hello

I just found that there are two versions of Black Dawn VI: Hellbound, one "standard" and one named 1998 edition. What's difference between them?

I'm trying to find out the correct release dates for this series. This thread mentions:

Black Dawn - 1994
Black Dawn 2 - 1995
Black Dawn 3 - 95/96
Black Dawn 4 Thunderdawn - 96
Black Dawn 5 A new beginning - 95/96
Black Dawn 6 Hellbound - 96

Meanwhile Mike Richmond lists these games as:

Black Dawn 1 (1993 A Campbell)
Black Dawn 2 (1994 A Campbell)
Black Dawn 3 Legions of Dawn (1995 A Campbell)

Black Dawn 4 A New Beginning (also rereleased as Black Dawn Remix) (1996 Shaun Watters, Tim Gilbert/Zsoft)
Black Dawn 5 Hellbound (1996 Shaun Watters, Tim Gilbert / Zsoft)
Black Dawn 6 Champions of Dawn (1996 Shaun Watters, Tim Gilbert / Zsoft)

Could somebody clear these discrepancies up?

I dedicated a lot of time to this years ago and my results for Lemon are these:

Black Dawn 1994
Black Dawn II 1994
Legions of Dawn 1995
Dawn VI: Hellbound 1995
Dawn: A New Beginning Remix 1996
Thunderdawn 1996
Champions of Dawn 1996

There are also two related games
Parasite 1995
Parasite II 1996

But I can not guarantee I am correct. Everything is very confusing.
