Floppy disk Pro Sound Designer by Eidersoft

I've been looking for this one for a while now, it's been TOSEC'd, and I'll take either the original or the gold version - I'm hoping it will alow me to use the MM5000 7octave pro keyboard, also by Eidersoft, that I've got.

Please email me if you've got and can let me have a copy, or email me and zone it for everyone

Hi All, I know this is an old post now but I recently bought an Eidersoft MM 5000 5 Octave keyboard from eBay. It arrived today but it doesn't have any software or manuals. I have read posts from Syko and twilighte on this board asking the same questions and I wanted to know how I can get some software for it.

For some reason I cannot access the Zone, apparently I don't have enough privileges, that could be because I am new and don't have many posts.

I would appreciate any help as I am really eager to use this keyboard.

Many thanks.

Kind regards,

Michael.

Or it could be because you haven't read the Rules & Help link at the top of the page (Although what you are looking for has long gone...)

Lol, sorry you are right I should have read the rules but I am a typical bloke and rushed in before reading the manual as it were.

Thanks for your help. Alas it is a shame but it looks like I have missed out on this software.

Thanks again for the advice.

Hi Zyphon,

Is there any chance you could upload those .adf files to the Zone for me, please?

Floppy disk Eidersoft SoundDesigner v1 & Gold

Hi Prowler I have uploaded the files to the Zone for your you. Included in the archive is the adf images as follows:

Eidersoft ProMidi Plus

Eidersoft ProSound Designer Gold Edition

Eidersoft roSound Designer v1.0

Although I have now transferred these to my Amiga 1200 (thanks to Cloanto Amiga Explorer and my trusty serial cable), I still do not have a clue what to do and I still cannot get any sound out of my MM 5000 midi keyboard.

I am starting to think I might have a white Elephant on my hands as I have a midi keyboard that I cannot play and I can't figure out how to activate it via the parallel port.

If anyone has any ideas on what I need to do or possible drivers I may need then I would be grateful.

Thanks guys. Peace, out.

Thank you for the kind welcome and thanks for the link to the server I was going to ask if I could have a link. I am sure it will be very useful for those 'hard to find' apps of yesteryear.

I think I am going to like being part of this community, I have been an Amiga fan since I bought my A1200 back in 93 and I have recently brought it out of retirement.

I think I may have found a new home with like minded people who have the same enthusiasm as I do for the Amiga.

Hi Zyphon,

I originally requested these files to help with recovering a Pro Sound Designer "Original" version floppy disk with read errors.

However, I have since managed to get a complete and valid image of the disk by trying it in some of my spare floppy disk drives.

I assume it is the same as your Eidersoft Pro Sound Designer v1.0 image. I haven't had time to check it yet, but I can upload it for you if they turn out to be different.

If you could upload your images to the Zone I would be grateful and it may be useful to compare the images.

Thanks for your help.

I will compare them tomorrow and upload mine for you if it's different.

Now, I really know nothing about how to interface a Midi keyboard with the Amiga, but you mentioned the parallel port. If it turns out that you need a Midi interface, I have a Midi Master A500/2000 I could send you, which shows a picture of a keyboard on the same label with the above identification on it.

It has no manual or other information, I'm afraid, but it has five 5-pin DIN sockets and a flying ribbon cable with a 25-way D-type socket on the other end, but this would not, of course, attach to the Amiga's parallel port without a gender changer.

Edit1: Here's another thread about a Midi Master A500/2000:
http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=31115

Edit 2: It looks quite similar to this one:
http://www.bboah.com/index.php?sid=8...657&artlang=en
(connects to SERIAL port!)

Thanks for your very kind offer, that is so uncanny. You are not going to believe this but I actually just bought a Datel Midi Master A500 from eBay on Friday, I should receive by Tuesday the latest.

AFAIK the Midi Master A500 plugs into the serial port so I am hoping I can make use of this device for my keyboard.

My MM5000 keyboard I bought on eBay came with an adapter that plugs on the end of the keyboard's parallel interface cable and has the 3 midi ports (In, Out & Through), so maybe I can link it the the Midi Master that way.

I am still at a loss if a driver is needed in place for this keyboard in order to use it via the parallel port like just like a printer would have a driver.

I so want to get this keyboard working as the keys feel like real quality and with 5 octaves should provide a good range.
