Is it all I need in life?
Firstly, thanks for all the help on other threads. My A600 is working perfectly with its additional RAM, 3.1 kickstart and CF HDD created from WinUAE for use in the system.
The 4 or 5 days of frustration setting it up was actually as much fun as now playing the games with my children (who as I mentioned are still dumbfounded at these little blue disks). Was thinking seems the A600 was so much fun that I would have a play with a A1200. Just checking that the suggestions for upgrading are... 1. Decent size HDD 2. Accelerator board with 68030 processor (128mb)? am I right in thinking that no other RAM upgraded is needed as the accelerator board's RAM can be used for games/system? Cheers Mike |

Pretty much that's the RAM you're going to need. The accelerator board will make it less compatible, but you can use WHDLoad to get the games running.
If it's a games machine, 16-32MB of RAM is already plenty. |

I can thoroughly recommend a HXC Floppy Emulator too, a really awesome piece of kit. I use mine for testing mainboards, has all the software I need on it and no need to look for a working floppy.
